“On February 24, we celebrated the opening of the Gibson Garage London, marking an important milestone in our 130 years of history since Orville Gibson started making instruments. The London Garage opening events, the artists that joined us, and most importantly the local and global teams working together to make it happen are evidence that we are setting conditions for the best years of Gibson to be ahead of us.”

The venue’s grand opening last month was a star-studded affair, with music icons such as Jimmy Page, Tony Iommi, Sir Brian May, James Bay, and Rosie Frater-Taylor gracing the event. Highlights included a special “In Conversation” event with legendary guitarist Jimmy Page and live music performances on the Gibson Garage London stage.

On opening day, February 24, music fans lined up around the block from the small hours, eager to be among the first to experience this musical mecca. The limited-edition Gibson Noel Gallagher ’78 Les Paul Custom hand-signed guitars sold out within the first 30 minutes, with all profits from these sales benefiting the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The opening celebrations extended over a month-long series of events within London’s music community, culminating in a packed crowd on opening day that included performances by Richie Faulkner of Judas Priest, The Blackout, Tyler Childers Band, and Gibson Generation Group artist Charlie Churchill.

Whether you’re a seasoned professional musician, a casual guitar player, a beginner, or simply a music fan, the Gibson Garage London stands as a must-visit destination – a place where the past, present, and future of music converge in a celebration of craftsmanship, artistry, and cultural impact.

The Gibson Garage London promises uniquely British cultural discoveries around every corner and level, from regular live performances, artist showcases and signings, and panel discussions from musicians and artists on its state-of-the-art stage, to the bi-annual revolving Gibson Gallery wall, which debuts with an exclusive collection from legendary music photographer Gered Mankowitz who has photographed The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, PP Arnold, Kate Bush, Elton John, The Jam, Eurythmics, and Oasis throughout his 50-year career.
