From May 26, 2023 United Airlines will be returning to the west of Ireland with flights from Chicago O’Hare to Shannon.
United formerly operated five days a week on the route between 2012 and 2017.
The new daily service will depart Chicago at 09:30 and it is seen as a boost to Ireland’s western region as Shannon has lost a number of routes in recent years, but United also operate a seasonal, summer, service from Shannon to Newark, New Jersey which is set to resume in April 2023 until October.
United Airlines are one of the world’s largest, operating 450 flights per day from Chicago O’Hare, the 6th busiest airport in the world.
Shannon Airport is the perfect gateway to Ireland’s West and Midlands with easy access to Cork, Kerry, Clare, Tipperary Limerick and Galway.
